What is Ramadan

Question: Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Every day during this month, Muslims around the world spend the daylight hours in a complete fast.
Answer: During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-sacrifice, Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking.

Muslims are called upon to use this month to re-evaluate their lives in light of Islamic guidance. We are to make peace with those who have wronged us, strengthen ties with family and friends, do away with bad habits -- essentially to clean up our lives, our thoughts, and our feelings. The Arabic word for "fasting" (sawm) literally means "to refrain" - and it means not only refraining from food and drink, but from evil actions, thoughts, and words.

During Ramadan, every part of the body must be restrained. The tongue must be restrained from backbiting and gossip. The eyes must restrain themselves from looking at unlawful things. The hand must not touch or take anything that does not belong to it. The ears must refrain from listening to idle talk or obscene words. The feet must refrain from going to sinful places. In such a way, every part of the body observes the fast.

Therefore, fasting is not merely physical, but is rather the total commitment of the person's body and soul to the spirit of the fast. Ramadan is a time to practice self-restraint; a time to cleanse the body and soul from impurities and re-focus one's self on the worship of God.

I have to change

I’m sorry but I’m going to writ everything I want in English

No matter wrong or right it’s matter of practicing

And because I’m going to have visitors

it may happen that somebody correct

my writings. I prefer to practice here rather than in my exams

I used to be a top student in my classes

but now I am a weak English speaker

I have to change and I will

Congratulations

My problem is that I can’t type English here directly

and I have to type my English posts in word

and then transfer it to my blog

Congratulations! I wish you the best! I love Ramadan

because I feel free! Free to pray God as long as I can

Paper Boat

Take a sheet of paper of the size A4 (8 1/2" x 11"). Paper used for ink jet printers will do

Fold the upper half down on the red line

Find the centre line by folding the left side on the right side and by unfolding

Fold downward both upper triangles on the red line

At the bottom fold the top strip upward on the red line

Turn the hat 90 degrees and open it. The thumbs must be inside. Lay the

upper and the lower parts on each other

Fold the lower front triangle upwards on the red line

The zone of proximal development

The zone of proximal development, or ZPD, is defined as the interactional space where a learner is able to perform a task with help which is beyond his or her current level of competence alone:The distance between the actual developmental level as determined by independent problem solving and the level of potential development as determined through problem solving under adult guidance or in collaboration with more capable peers. (Vygotsky, 1978)

Vygotsky considered this level of potential development to be a better indicator of a learner's competence, and later educators have seen the ZPD as an ideal locus for successful teaching
